At Turnbull Whitaker we offer several options for seasonal dwellings depending on the type of dwelling, coverage amount, protection area, and usage. We feel that it is of the utmost importance to ensure that each seasonal dwelling is insured to its true rebuilding value. Unlike urban fire losses, (which are seldom a total loss), rural/seasonal fire losses are usually a total loss.

We can offer packages that include replacement cost on contents, bear damage coverage, collapse of building, glass, vandalism, etc. If your seasonal is heated year round, and is visited at least every 60 days, it may qualify for a homeowner's package, offering guaranteed replacement cost on the dwelling, and all risk on the building and contents. We also have coverage available for the smallest and remotest of cabins.

In most circumstances it is advisable to have your primary dwelling and your seasonal insured with the same company, as most companies will offer a better package when insuring both. However, we can offer coverage to those who only require seasonal coverage.

For most of our customers their seasonal home is both a source of enjoyment and a substantial investment. We make sure they are properly insured.
